They are also shown to be ruthless and efficient in combat, and initially dismisses other characters such as the Chef and Crackpot until they reveal themselves to be potentially useful. The player is a somewhat arrogant and confident individual, while also described as 'cranky' by Bossman. Once the Loft is unlocked in the HQ, the player's skin and blood color can be altered as well. Armor can also be altered using the colorizer to change colors and/or textures.

There are 10 different Origins, which can effect both the player's gameplay and appearance, but this can be altered at any time by equipping or unequipping armor (The only exception is The Disquieted's Mask, which is unique as it cannot be unequipped).
